Philippines - Disasternet.org: Disaster Reporting via SMS, Email and Internet

Description

Disasternet.org is a Disaster Management Application, developed in the Philippines.

The aim of the application is to allow people to submit information via SMS, Email and the Internet for disasters, both major and local (e.g. Typhoon Haiyan or Local Storm Damage). The application incorporates the FrontlineSMS text message management platform.

The application will also enable consumers to track service disruptions such as electricity brown/blackouts or water outages.

Responders, Utilities and Aid Agencies will be able to monitor activity and reports from the field to better coordinate their resources.
